How to Fit Your Dog for a Harness or Shoes

Finding the right fit for your dogs harness and shoes are important for comfort and safety.  To get the best possible fit we suggest bring your animal into the store.  However, we understand that is not always possible.  Here are a few tips, if you need to leave your animal at home.

For a harness, we will need you to measure the chest (just a little behind the front legs) in inches. The dog should be standing.  It is helpful to have a lower neck measurement also but not necessary because most harness have several adjustable straps.

For the shoes, have your dog stand (needs to be bearing weight) on a piece of paper and draw the outline of his/her paw on the paper.  Make sure to get both the front and back paw.  In most cases, there is a size difference between the front and back paw. When you come to buy your shoes please bring the paper in and one of our team members will be happy to assist you with the proper size.
